Samsung may soon unveil the Galaxy A25 5G. A few days back, we exclusively revealed the phone’s official renders and key specs while the company worked on regulatory approvals. The firm has now listed the unannounced handset on its website, hinting at an imminent launch.
Samsung’s Galaxy A25 5G nears its launch
The Galaxy A25 5G has been in the news regularly over the past week or so. Alongside our exclusive leaks, the device picked up certifications from the FCC, TUV Rheinland, BIS (Bureau of Indian Standards), and Bluetooth SIG during this time. All of this suggested a nearing launch. While we still don’t have a launch date, Samsung’s latest move may be a big hint that the wait won’t be much longer now.
The Korean behemoth has put up an official support page for the phone on its website in India. The Indian version of the Galaxy A25 5G will bear the model number SM-A256E. Other model variants include SM-A256B, SM-A256N, SM-A2560, and SM-A256U, with the latter being the US version. As usual, the newly published support page doesn’t reveal anything notable. All we get is a confirmation for dual-SIM support in the country.
Nonetheless, it’s an indication that Samsung is preparing for the phone’s market release. Unlike some other mid-range Galaxy handsets, the Galaxy A25 5G will seemingly be available globally. The company may not open sales everywhere on the same day but it should eventually reach all markets where the Korean firm has operations. We should have soon more information.
The new model will bring a few upgrades
The Galaxy A25 5G will succeed Samsung’s Galaxy A24, a 2023 mid-range smartphone that lacked 5G support. Since we already have the new model’s key specs, we know that it will bring a few upgrades to the table. Apart from 5G connectivity, it will give you a 32MP selfie camera and an IP67 rating for dust and water resistance. The current model has a 13MP selfie camera and lacks an IP rating.
Other known specs include a 6.44-inch display, Samsung’s in-house Exynos 1280 processor with 6GB/8GB of RAM and 128GB/256GB of storage (plus microSD card support), 5,000mAh battery, 25W fast charging, 50MP main camera, Bluetooth 5.3, Wi-Fi 5, NFC, side-mounted fingerprint scanner, and USB Type-C 2.0. The phone will run Android 14-based One UI 6.0 out of the box and get updates up to Android 18. The Galaxy A25 5G is expected to cost around $300 at launch.
