Apple won’t announce a foldable smartphone anytime soon. That’s not exactly a secret. As we wait for more developments in that area, however, the iPhone 16 Flip concept design has surfaced online.

The iPhone 16 Flip concept is here, and it envisions Apple’s first foldable smartphone

This concept design was created by the Technizo Concept, and shared on YouTube. Needless to say, this is just a third-party imaginary design. It’s not a leak or anything of the sort, so keep that in mind.

The YouTube video has been embedded below the article. As you can see, this is a clamshell foldable smartphone. It folds vertically, right down the middle. This basically looks like an iPhone 14 from the back, iPhone 14 Pro from the front, plus the hinge, and a second display.

Speaking of which, the cover display is located right next to the main camera island, and it’s quite tiny. The phone has two cameras on the back, and it’s made out of metal and glass, it seems.

It looks like a cross between the iPhone 14 and 14 Pro, with the addition of a second display

The sides are flat, as they are on current-gen iPhones. The same goes for the front and back sides. The phone does include a Dynamic Island on the front too, and rather thin bezels. Its power/lock button is located on the right side, while the volume up and down buttons are on the left.

The designer opted for a dark red model here, a wine red, some would say. Truth be said, this color does look very nice, and it makes the phone stand out. This concept phone does fold flat as well, by the way.

The designer also envisioned a titanium frame for the phone, along with the Apple A17 Bionic SoC, and iOS 17. Will Apple launch its first foldable smartphone in 2025? Well, it’s possible, but we don’t know anything for sure just yet.
