The Motorola Razr+ 2023 is getting closer to its launch. While we don’t yet have an official launch date, the new clamshell foldable smartphone recently popped up on Geekbench to confirm a few rumored specs. This comes shortly after a major leak revealed pretty much all the necessary details about it.

Before we dive deeper into this Geekbench listing for the Motorola Razr+ 2023, let us mention that there have been rumors about not one or two, but three new Motorola foldables recently. Along with the Razr+ 2023, we have also heard about a Razr 40 Ultra and a Razr Lite. By the looks of it, the former two are the same device, likely named differently in China and the rest of the world. The Lite model, meanwhile, could be an affordable option.

The newly-spotted Geekbench entry supports this speculation too, at least about the non-Lite model. It confirms that the Motorola Razr+ 2023 will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset. Earlier rumors paired the previous-gen Qualcomm processor with the Razr 40 Ultra. Motorola is equipping the foldable with 8GB of RAM, though there may be other RAM options as well. It will ship the phone with Android 13 on board.

The Motorola Razr+ 2023 scored 1,702 points in single-core tests and 4,073 points in multi-core tests on Geekbench 6. It isn’t the best-performing phone in the premium segment, but foldables are more about style than performance. There isn’t much to take away from this benchmark listing for the new Motorola foldable. But as said earlier, there has been a major leak recently. So we already know plenty about the device.

Rumored Motorola Razr+ 2023 specs

Since Motorola Razr+ 2023 is expected to be the Chinese version of the Razr 40 Ultra, the two devices should share most of the hardware specs if not all. Rumors are that the latter will feature a 6.7-inch folding AMOLED display with a 1080 x 2640 pixels resolution and 120Hz/144Hz refresh rate. The cover display measures 3.5 inches diagonally and boasts a 1056 x 1066 resolution.

Motorola will reportedly pair the chipset with up to 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. The Motorola Razr+ 2023/Razr 40 Ultra gets a 12MP primary rear camera along with a 13MP ultrawide lens. A 32MP selfie camera sits under the punch-hole cutout on the top of the inner folding display. The foldable is expected to come in a dual-SIM variant with eSIM support, at least in some markets. It will also boast NFC, a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, and a 3,640 mAh battery with 33W fast charging.
