These days, we don’t remember phone numbers like we used to. We either ask our digital assistants (Google Assistant, Bixby, Siri, etc) to call someone, or just select them from favorites and such. If I were to ask you right now what your significant others’ phone number was, you probably couldn’t answer that.

You might not even know your own number, which is something we’re going to talk about today in this article. We’re going to show you how you can find your phone number. Now this is more useful than just for confirming that you know your phone number. It’s also useful if you’ve switched eSIMs or switched carriers and want to make sure the switch happened. You can also double-check by calling your number from another phone, but that’s not always possible.

Or perhaps, you have two phone numbers, and one you don’t use very often. Well, these methods for both iPhone and Android will help you find your number so you can use it and give it out to people.

How to find your phone number

It’s pretty easy to find your phone number on both iPhone and Android. And below, we’ve outlined the process for each operating system. Now, on Android, it’s important to note that this should be the same across every brand, but some settings menus might be worded slightly different.

iPhone

  1. Open the Phone app.

What if you are getting a call from your number?

The simple answer: That’s a scam call.

Scammers are now able to spoof their numbers so that it looks like a number similar to yours, or even yours. This makes you think the call is coming from someone locally, maybe in your town or even in your neighborhood. But that’s not true. It’s typically coming from somewhere overseas. So the best thing is to ignore or end the call. You can also opt to block unknown numbers, which works on both Android and iOS. We’ve done this here.
