The iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max could get price hikes compared to current-gen models. According to a new report by Bloomberg, the company is trying to decide whether to raise prices or not.

The iPhone 15 Pro models could get price hikes, as expected

A report from last month mentioned that the entire iPhone 15 series will get major price hikes. The report by Bloomberg does not mention the vanilla iPhone 15 series, though. It also does not guarantee we’ll see price hikes.

It’s realistic to expect them, though, considering the state of tech these days. It would be great if Apple kept the current price tags, however. The iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max start prices are $999 and $1,099. So any increase would push the base iPhone 15 Pro across the $1,000 threshold.

Tim Cook’s statement is also not encouraging. A while back, Apple’s CEO said “I think people are willing to really stretch to get the best they can afford in that category”. That could also indicate a price hike.

A report from last month suggested a $200 price hike for both models

Now, a report from last month suggested that both the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max could cost up to $200 more than the current-gen models. That’s a major price hike, needless to say.

Let’s hope Apple won’t go that far, in case it opts for a price hike, as that would be a major difference. As a reminder, this year’s ‘Pro’ models will deliver some changes to the table, based on rumors.

They’ll have more powerful internals, but they’ll also debut Type-C on iPhones, as will vanilla models. The ‘Pro’ iPhone 15 models are also expected to include frames made out of titanium, and thinner bezels. The ‘Pro Max’ model will even include a periscope telephoto camera, another first-ever for iPhones.
