The first foldable smartphone from OnePlus is right around the corner, and its color options have been revealed. The information comes from Max Jambor, a tipster who is usually spot on when it comes to OnePlus leaks.
The very first foldable from OnePlus will come in black & green color options
The OnePlus Open, which will be the name of the phone, will come in Emerald Eclipse and Voyage Black color options. Based on these names, we can expect black and green versions of the device.
We still don’t know the exact launch date, though. It was supposed to launch towards the end of this month, but the launch has been delayed. OnePlus has allegedly decided, at the last minute, to change a display OEM for the device.
The OnePlus Open did surface already. The latest CAD-based renders are probably spot on. The phone will resemble the OPPO Find N2 in terms of the overall form factor, but it will be larger, based on rumors.
The OnePlus Open will look like a larger OPPO Find N2, with beefier cameras
The OnePlus Open will lean towards a horizontal orientation when unfolded. That is the opposite of what the Galaxy Z Fold 5, and various other foldables are offering. The OnePlus Fold will lean more towards the OPPO Find N2 and Google Pixel Fold orientation.
OnePlus’ upcoming devices will include flat sides, and a cover display with really thin bezels. On the back, the device will feature a large camera oreo, which will include three camera sensors.
The phone will feature a wide-angle camera, an ultrawide one, and a periscope telephoto one too. Those could be 50-megapixel, 48-megapixel, and 64-megapixel cameras, respectively. Hasselblad will be a part of the equation too.
A 7.82-inch main display was mentioned in rumors, and a 6.31-inch cover display. A 4,520mAh battery will also be a part of the package, and will support 100W charging, allegedly.
