Instead of using a backlight to light up the whole screen as LCD does. That’s why the blacks look more like gray on those panels, versus OLED actually being black, because those pixels are not on.

That is going to offer you 4K60 gaming, as well as VRR (variable rate refresh), and a few other cool features.
