Gmail on Android gets AI-powered summaries and Gemini toggle

Google’s Gmail app for Android is getting a major upgrade that will bring it closer to its desktop equivalent. The update introduces AI-based email summaries. The new feature called Summarize this email will provide users with short descriptions of long emails or threads, similar to the web version of Gmail.
