The Galaxy Ring is now official with Samsung having just announced it at Galaxy Unpacked, and now you can pre-order your own if you’re looking for something a little different than a smartwatch when it comes to tracking health and sleep.
If you’ve been keeping tabs on Samsung’s latest wearable device, then you know it has the potential to be a really useful wearable for health insights. Like the Galaxy Watch 7 and Galaxy Watch Ultra, the Galaxy Ring comes packed with Galaxy AI features to help you make the most of your health and wellness. One of the more notable additions is the new sleep algorithm which is powered by Galaxy AI.
This can help various points of sleep data including how long it takes you to fall asleep, and what you can do to improve your sleep if you aren’t getting proper rest. Additionally, Galaxy AI powers recommendations that the ring can make to improve different metrics. It’s also a device that was designed to be worn 24/7. Think about all the useful sleep-tracking features your Galaxy smartwatch might have. These are great. The only issue is that wearing the watch all night can be uncomfortable.
Then there’s the possibility that if you do wear it all night, and you’ve been wearing it all day beforehand, you might not have much battery life left the next morning when you wake up. The watches charge up fairly fast. But in many cases, they can take anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour. And you might not have that kind of time. The Galaxy Ring doesn’t pose this problem. As it can last for up to 7 days on a single charge. So you can wear it comfortably to bed and not worry about battery issues when you wake up.
You can pre-order the Galaxy Ring starting on July 10
As with both new smartwatches, Samsung’s Galaxy Ring pre-orders begin today, July 10. As for pricing, the ring starts at $399. The price may also go up depending on what size you need, so keep that in mind.
As for options, Samsung will offer three colors of this ring and nine different sizes. So there’s definitely some variety in what your ring will look like and how well it fits. When it comes to specifics on those two factors, the color options are Titanium Black, Titanium Silver, and Titanium Gold. Size options are a little more varied beginning at size 5 and going all the way up to size 13. Meaning just about everyone should be able to find a Galaxy Ring size that works for them.
Where you can place your pre-order
As with all Samsung’s new devices, you’ll be able to pre-order the new Galaxy Ring directly from Samsung on its website. You should also be able to pre-order the device from retail partners like Amazon and Best Buy, and potentially a few more retailers depending on region.
