[ad_1]

Apple has made the iPhone 15 Pro official (among the other iPhone 15 models), and it’s actually a fairly exciting new iPhone. The biggest change here is Apple moving to Titanium for the build. Which is a big deal, as it is more durable and lighter weight than stainless steel. So this is now the lightest “Pro” iPhone Apple has ever made. That’s incredible.

Even though it is more durable, you probably will want to get a new case or two for your iPhone 15 Pro. So here in this list, we are rounding up the very Best Apple iPhone 15 Pro Cases that you can buy. This will be updated throughout the year as more cases become available.

ESR Classic Series

81uFUbAw XL AC SL1500

ESR has been a pretty popular brand as of late, for iPhone accessories and their Classic Case for the iPhone 15 Pro is here for just $27. This case is available in clear, and a few other other colors: Clear Black, and Frosted black.

This case is pretty interesting, as it has all the usual things like having military-grade protection and such. But what’s cool here is that there is a kickstand around the camera module. So it blends in, but it’s still great for watching content on the go.

ZAGG London Snap

The ZAGG London Snap is a really great looking case for the iPhone 15 Pro, it’s a bit on the pricey side at $49.99, however. It’s a “tough and elegant” case according to ZAGG. That’s because it is made of Graphene, which is a tougher material, and able to protect your iPhone 15 Pro a bit more than other cases. It also has a drop resistance of up to 13 feet.

This case is going to give you a nice high-end look and feel on your iPhone 15 Pro, thanks to the 3D-printed fabric exterior. And it’s inspired the by classic yet contemporary style of the city of London.

Spigen Liquid Air Armor

71SvMZSJNGL AC SL1200

The Spigen Liquid Air Armor is a really great case for the iPhone 15 Pro, and it costs just $15. This comes in three colors: Matte Black, Abyss Green and Navy Blue. It also has a nice textured back, making it easier to hold onto, while also being fairly thin. That means that it won’t add a lot of bulk onto your phone, which is also important here.

Spigen has included military-grade protection and uses its Air Cushion technology here, for anti-shock protection, and to keep your iPhone nice and protected if you should drop it.

Apple FineWoven Case

Screenshot 2023 09 14 at 12 16 16 PM

Apple, this year, has decided to declare war on Leather, stating that it’s bad for the environment. And is moving to this FineWoven case, for the environment. This is made of durable microtwill which has a suede-like feel. So it still feels like leather, sort of, but it may not age like leather. It’s definitely gonna look really good on the new iPhone 15 Pro. It costs the same as the leather cases did, at $60.

This case is available in five colors: Taupe, Mulberry, Evergreen, Pacific Blue and Black. Which look really good, and it’s good to see Pacific Blue back in the mix.

ZAGG Crystal Palace Snap

71sNTg9msWL AC SL1500

Wanting a nice clear case for your new iPhone 15 Pro? ZAGG has you covered with its $49.99 Crystal Palace Snap. This is a clear case, which means you will see the magnet for the MagSafe charging there. But that also means it works with MagSafe wireless charging.

Like a lot of the other ZAGG cases here, the Crystal Palace Snap does have 13-feet drop protection, making it a really nice and durable case. This is thanks to it being made of Graphene this year.

Spigen Slim Armor CS

611xIfiehaL AC SL1200

The Spigen Slim Armor CS is an oldie, but a goodie case for the iPhone. And it’s back for the iPhone 15 Pro here. This is available for $20 and comes in four colors: Black, Abyss Green, Metal Slate, and Rose Gold.

This is a super slim case for the iPhone 15 Pro, with the major difference here being a secret compartment on the back. Which can hold a couple of cards. Making this a wallet case, that doesn’t really look like a wallet case. That’s really cool.

ZAGG Manhattan Snap

best iphone 15 pro case

The ZAGG Manhattan Snap might be the sleeper case for the iPhone 15. It’s a silicone case like what Apple offers, and it’s the same price – $49.99. But it is a much better case. If you’ve ever used one of Apple’s silicone cases, you likely know how it likes to hold onto fingerprints, dust and such. Well, this one, does not.

This also uses the Graphene material like its other cases, making it more durable, while keeping it pretty thin and lightweight. Making this a really great case to pick up.

ZAGG Manhattan Snap – Amazon

elago Liquid Silicon Case

best iphone 15 pro case

Perhaps the cheapest, but not terrible, case you can buy for the iPhone 15 Pro – elago’s Liquid Silicon Case. It’s available for $12.99. This is a really great looking silicon case, that is also very minimal. elago is offering it in a ton of colors too, including Stone, Aqua Sky, Black, Brown, Burgundy, Cedar Green, Cobalt Blue and many more.

Nomad Modern Leather Case

best iphone 15 pro case

The Nomad Modern Leather case is a fantastic case, and it’s actually one that I’ve used on my iPhone for the past two years. This is going to cost you $50, or if you want Horween Leather, it’ll be $70. This does come in a few colors, including black, brown and English Tan. Important to note that the English Tan is not available in Horween Leather.

So what makes this case better than Apple’s older leather cases? Well, for one, the leather doesn’t wrap all the way around the case. The sides are made of plastic. It’s a soft-touch plastic, so it still feels pretty high-end, but it keeps the leather looking good. And as expected, the leather is also going to age after some time – Horween Leather will take longer to show it’s age, however.

ZAGG Denali Snap

best iphone 15 pro case

The ZAGG Denali Snap is a really great case for those that are a bit clumsy with their phones. The Denali Snap case for iPhone 15 is just $65. Much cheaper than Otterboxes, fortunately.

This is a dual-layer case from ZAGG and it does offer up better drop protection than ZAGG’s other products. With a rated protection of 16-feet. It also has a nice no-slip design, and comes in a variety of colors.

[ad_1]

Samsung has released the third One UI 6.0 beta update for the Galaxy S23 series. The latest build is now live in the US with firmware version ZWI8. The same build is also rolling out in India, where it arrives as Beta 2. The update should soon reach other markets where the beta program is available, such as Germany, South Korea, and the UK.

Screenshots posted on X show the OTA (over the air) package for One UI 6.0 Beta 3 weighs between 1.2GB and 1.4GB depending on the market and device model. The changelog is the same in India and the US. Samsung has improved the system video player with an enhanced layout that offers better controls. It has moved the Play button to the center and grouped other similar buttons. Playback speed controls now use buttons instead of a slider.

Additionally, the company has fixed a bunch of issues and bugs present in the previous beta build. The changelog says the system launcher, i.e. One UI Home, crashing issue has been fixed. Samsung has also addressed problems causing UI lag/freeze when long-pressing on the home screen to customize it or going back to the home screen directly from an app. It has patched an occasional call-related issue with Bixby as well.

One UI 6.0 Beta 3 further patches a camera bug that caused the camera app to crash when switching to video mode. Issues with Samsung Pay gestures have been addressed too. Samsung has also added a manual setting for scheduling Device Care restarts. It has improved the shape of notification icons in text messages and fixed the issues with the “when you receive a message” routine condition. This update also fixes the notification bar color errors when running apps in Samsung DeX.

The latest One UI 6.0 beta still has some known issues

Samsung engineers are still working on polishing One UI 6.0, which is the company’s Android 14-based custom software. The latest beta update comes with a few known issues. The changelog notes that the Kids app isn’t compatible with the new One UI version. A compatible version of the app is expected later this month.

One UI 6.0 Beta 3 also has problems recognizing the “answer the phone” voice command while receiving a phone call. It has issues with Google Assistant as well. Samsung will fix some of these known issues with a new One UI 6.0 beta update in the coming weeks. If you have enrolled your Galaxy S23 into Samsung’s beta program, you can expect to receive the latest update soon.

Say Goodbye to MagSafe Battery Pack and MagSafe Duo, Apple Pulls Plug

0
[ad_1]

Apple, this week, announced the new iPhone 15. Which moves to USB-C this time around, instead of using Lightning. This also means that Apple is starting to update its other accessories with USB-C now, including announcing EarPods and AirPods Pro (2nd gen) with USB-C at the event this week. However, that’s not the case for everything.

Many have noticed that Apple has removed the MagSafe Battery Pack and MagSafe Duo from the Store. Meaning that it’s no longer being sold by Apple. Which is rather surprising, since there is no replacement for either one, just yet. Perhaps that will be coming a bit later, and the replacements just weren’t quite ready yet.

It’s unclear whether Apple will replace these or not. But whether they do or not, there are plenty of great alternatives from third-parties. In fact, we have a Best MagSafe Accessories list that you can take a look at.

Plenty more Lightning Accessories could go away soon

There are many, many accessories that Apple sells that use Lightning ports still. And they’ll need to replace those soon, or just ditch them altogether. This includes the Magic Keyboard and Magic Mouse for Mac. As well as the other versions of AirPods and AirPods Max. Among a few others.

So this means that we could see quite a few updates to accessories over the coming months, as Apple is being forced to move away from Lightning. Though, it could be the same as the AirPods Pro 2nd Gen with USB-C, where it’s just USB-C being added (and Lossless for the Vision Pro). But a few of these are in desperate need of updates, like the AirPods Max which came out back in 2020. Or the Magic Mouse which is still hilarious that the charging port is on the bottom of the mouse.

[ad_1]

The latest and greatest iPhone 15 is finally here. Apple unveiled the iPhone 15 lineup on September 12, 2023, which includes the iPhone 15 Plus here. This phone gives you a huge 6.7-inch display, with the Dynamic Island, and a new A16 Bionic chipset inside. It also costs just $899 to start. Which is pretty impressive, if I do say so myself.

Even though it’s a cheaper iPhone, it’s still $900 plus tax, so you’re going to want to get a case to protect your new iPhone 15 Plus. That is why we have rounded up all of the best cases that you can get for the iPhone 15 Plus right here. This post will be continuously updated throughout the year, as new cases become available.

Peel Super Thin Case

Screenshot 2023 09 14 at 8 38 57 AM

Some would rather have a super thin case, over a super thick case. And that’s where Peel comes in. Peel makes super thin cases for the iPhone and a few other products too. It’s not a cheap case however, Peel cases start at $39. This is their MagSafe case, and it does show the ring in the clear case, but not on the black case. Currently, it’s only available in black and clear, unfortunately.

If you pick up the black iPhone 15 Plus, this will look pretty similar to what the phone looks like naked, but without the Apple logo on the back. And it looks amazing, actually.

Spigen Liquid Crystal

Here’s another option from Spigen, the Liquid Crystal case. This is a $14 case, and it’s a clear one. Though you can also get it Crystal Quartz and Rose Quartz colors too. Definitely a unique looking case here.

Unlike other clear cases, Spigen has taken the necessary steps here to make sure that the case will not yellow anytime soon. So you won’t have to worry about that. It does also use its Air Cushion technology, which is going to protect your phone from drops and such.

Storm-0324 Using Microsoft Teams to Hack Corporate Networks

0
[ad_1]
Storm-0324

According to recent reports, a threat actor known as Storm-0324 has been using email-based initial infection vectors to attack organizations.

However, as of July 2023, the threat actor has been found to have been using Microsoft Teams to send Phishing emails.

Once the threat actor gains access, they hand off the access to other threat actors who continue to further exploit the systems for sensitive information.

It has also been identified as working alongside the Sangria Tempest ransomware-as-a-service (RaaS) actor, distributing the JSSLoader malware and providing access to the Sangria threat group.

The attack chain of Storm-0324 involves highly evasive infection chains using invoice and payment lures. Storm-0324 was also found to be distributing payloads from other threat actors through phishing and exploit kit vectors.

It is recommended that companies employ advanced email protection With Trusitifi Inbound Shield, which offers powerful multi-layered scanning technology.

Storm-0324, Sangria Tempest & JSSLoader

Storm-0324 and Sangria Tempest have been working together ever since 2019. Storm-0324 hands-off access to Sangria after delivering the first-stage malware payload, JSSLoader.

The actor is known to distribute the JSSLoader malware, which facilitates access for the ransomware-as-a-service (RaaS) actor Sangria Tempest (ELBRUS, Carbon Spider, FIN7). Previous distribution activity associated with Storm-0324 included the Gozi infostealer, Nymaim downloader, and locker.

The delivery chain begins with a phishing email mentioning a payment or invoice and containing a link to a SharePoint site that hosts a ZIP archive.

The ZIP archive consists of a file with embedded JS code, resulting in the exploitation of the CVE-2023-21715 local security feature bypass vulnerability. When the file is opened, it launches the JS code, which drops a JSSLoader variant DLL.

In some instances, users might also be asked to enter a security code or password before opening the document, adding an additional level of believability for the user.

Surprise! iPhone 15 Proves to be the Cheapest iPhone Since 2007

0
[ad_1]

After many, many rumors about the iPhone 15 series going up in price this year, it ended up not happening for most models. Only the iPhone 15 Pro Max has a higher starting price, which is sort of offset by the fact that it now starts at 256GB of storage instead of 128GB.

But now the real question is, how does these prices stack up against previous iPhones? Well, PerfectRec has lined up the prices of every iPhone, from the very beginning and adjusted the prices for inflation to 2023. You can see how it all stacks up in the image below, but one thing is clear, the iPhone 15 is the most affordable iPhone since the original in 2007 which came in at $732, inflation-adjusted.

Interestingly, the iPhone 12 was the most expensive at $943 inflation-adjusted. Meanwhile the Pro models have consistently gone down in price. Of course, they have always been $999, so seeing how much our money has decreased over the years is rather surprising. The iPhone X would have cost $1,248 in 2023. Even moreso with the Pro Max models. With the iPhone 15 Pro Max being the second cheapest, solely because of the price increase this year.

The iPhone 5C would be super overpriced in 2023

Do you remember back in 2013, when Apple was trying to come out with a “cheaper” iPhone to bring in more of that Android market, and decided to launch the iPhone 5C? That unapologetically plastic iPhone? Yeah, it would cost you $720 inflation-adjusted in 2023. That’s pretty insane. Meanwhile, the other iPhone SE models have stayed under $500.

Say what you want about iPhone prices, the one thing that they are is, consistent. Even though other countries had seen price increases in previous years, in Europe and the UK, it actually saw a price decrease in 2023. Which is really surprising. Typically prices rise, and never come down, but they did for the UK and Europe this time around.

1 in 5 Americans are ready to go into debt for the iPhone 15

0
[ad_1]

iPhones have long enjoyed one of the highest customer loyalties, and the new iPhone 15 series is no exception. Although the new phones do represent a significant generational update, especially due to the introduction of USB-C, the $1,000 price tag for the Pro models is still a big financial investment. However, according to a new report from WalletHub, 1 in 5 Americans are willing to incur debt to get one of the new iPhone 15 models.

The survey included 240 online respondents in the United States, with WalletHub ensuring data normalization by age, gender, and income to accurately represent a cross-section of U.S. demographics, and raised the question of whether one should finance the purchase of a new phone or pay for it upfront. Answering this, approximately 40% of the respondents expressed a preference for paying through installments for their new phones, highlighting an industry-wide trend of consumers opting for payment plans offered by mobile carriers.

Reasoning behind this decision

Although the specific reason will differ from person to person, the survey also delved into the phenomenon known as “phone shaming,” which involves people discriminating against others based on their choice of phones. This is particularly common in the United States, where iMessage dominates as the primary messaging service, and Android users face discrimination for having a differently coloured message bubble.

Moreover, in days when both iPhones and Android easily last three years with software support and ample performance headroom, the study also tried to uncover stereotypes about people who upgrade their iPhones every year. Over 30% of the respondents described someone who consistently owns the latest iPhone model as “wasteful,” while more than 21% considered them financially well off. Additionally, almost three-quarters of the participants believed that the new iPhone models were overrated.

“Importantly, there are both psychosocial (emotional) benefits and functional benefits that come with phones. Feelings of belonging, having the latest “thing”, and self-signalling that you deserve the new product all might outweigh the psychological consequences of carrying debt,” said Jared Watson, Assistant Professor of Marketing at the Stern School of Business.

How to to Secure Your Inboxes 2023

Next-Gen Email Firewall

Email communication is still widely used as an attack vector despite the ever-changing nature of cyber threats.

The vast number of people who use it for communication daily, both professionally and personally, makes it a tempting target.

Cybercriminals are becoming more skilled at using malicious email campaigns in line with the growth of advanced technologies and increased security measures taken by businesses.

VIPRE Security found that 85.01% of phishing emails had harmful links inside the message body, and the volume of spam emails increased by 30.0% from the first to the second quarter of 2023.

In addition, phishing attacks against IT companies are now more common (14%) than against financial institutions (9%).

The Limitations of Traditional Spam Filters

Conventional spam filters rely on static rule-based systems with predetermined criteria or known dangerous signatures to identify emails as spam.

Their strict compliance with predetermined policies leaves companies vulnerable to ever-evolving cyberattacks. These filters rely too much on signature-based detection, making them vulnerable to zero-day threats and unable to protect against recent or modified malware.

They can’t detect hidden risks like spear phishing since they don’t have advanced behavioral analysis. In addition, it cannot examine potentially harmful information in isolation without sandboxing characteristics.

As a result, the ever-evolving and complicated nature of cyber threats makes their traditional approaches ineffective.

You can Understand and diagnose Email Issues using Trusitifi’s Email Header Analyzer Tool.

What are Next-Gen Email Firewalls?

Next-Generation Email Firewalls are the latest technologies for protecting against malicious emails. To quickly prevent new threats, such as zero-day vulnerabilities, these systems interact with real-time threat intelligence feeds, unlike traditional spam filters, which depend primarily on static rules.

They scan things in-depth, including emails, embedded URLs, and attachments. Sandboxing is essential since it allows testing of potentially harmful information in a secure environment.

Advanced systems use machine learning and behavioral analytics to identify complex phishing attacks like this. These firewalls use authentication protocols like DMARC, DKIM, and SPF to prevent spoofing and verify email senders.

In addition, they have measures to prevent sensitive information from being accidentally leaked. These solutions, which are frequently cloud-native, provide a robust and complex approach to email security while scaling efficiently and integrating smoothly with existing security infrastructure.

Implementing AI-Powered Email security solutions “Trustifi” can secure your business from today’s most dangerous email threats, such as Email Tracking, Blocking, Modifying, Phishing, Account Take Over, Business Email Compromise, Malware & Ransomware.

How do Next-Gen Email Firewalls Protect Your Inbox?

Advanced Threat Intelligence – The use of real-time threat intelligence helps to identify and prevent emerging attacks, such as those that exploit zero-day flaws, as soon as they appear.

Deep Content Inspection – Rather than simply scanning the email’s information, these firewalls read the message in full, including any embedded URLs or files attached, to discover any hidden risks.

Sandboxing – To prevent viruses and malware from reaching their intended recipients, suspicious attachments and URLs are displayed in a safe, isolated environment.

Behavioral Analytics – These firewalls may identify spear-phishing initiatives by learning the sender’s typical activity patterns and comparing them to suspicious emails that appear to be from the same sender but act differently.

Identity Verification – Using authentication methods like DMARC, DKIM, and SPF, these tools ensure that all email arrives genuine and from a known source, protecting users from spoofing and phishing attempts.

Data Loss Prevention (DLP) – Besides inbound threats, they monitor outgoing emails to prevent sensitive material from being transmitted without authorization or violating regulations.

Machine Learning – Many modern firewalls use machine learning to “learn” from the attacks they block and better detect various threats over time.

Next-Gen Email Firewalls vs. Traditional Email Security

Next-Gen Email FirewallsTraditional email security
Quickly adapt to new threats by using real-time threat intelligence. It uses a static collection of threats and patterns to make decisions.
Emails, URLs, and attachments are all placed through an extensive content analysis.Metadata and simple patterns are the primary areas of security inspection.
Uses content isolation technologies (sandboxes) to investigate potentially harmful data.Doesn’t have a sandboxing environment.
Utilizes machine learning and behavioral analytics for real-time threat assessment.Depending on predetermined guidelines rather than monitoring user activity
Designed specifically for use in the cloud, this safeguards the present remote workforces.Less flexible with cloud integrations; works best in local installations.
The sophisticated analysis and learning capabilities have resulted in fewer false positives. There is an increase in false positives because of the inflexibility of rule-based systems.

Countering Sophisticated Email Threats with Next-Gen Email Firewalls

The importance of Next-Generation Email Firewalls in preventing modern email threats cannot be underestimated.

These modern firewalls utilize real-time threat intelligence to detect and neutralize recent security risks instead of the static rules used by older systems.

They investigate thoroughly, looking at every aspect of the email, from the subject line to the attachments. Sandboxing is a technique to test malicious code in a safe, restricted setting.

Unusual behaviors, such as those used in spear phishing or impersonation, can be detected via machine learning.

In addition, email spoofing may be prevented using sender authentication methods such as DMARC, DKIM, and SPF.

By authenticating the sender’s identity and confirming the accuracy of the received messages, these procedures act as the first line of protection against email-based threats.

SPF aims to improve email security by limiting the possibility that an unauthorized sender

In DKIM, the transmitting server gives Each email a unique DKIM signature generated using a private key. The DNS records of the sender are queried to retrieve the sender’s public key, which is then used to validate the email’s signature.

With DMARC, website administrators may specify how they want their domain’s incoming mail servers to deal with unencrypted messages that have not been authenticated. It has a policy and a statement, with three options (reject, quarantine, or do nothing).

You can Analyze and Detect SPF Issues using Trustifi’s SPF Record Checker Tool.

Foldable smartphones have been on the rise, and it seems like they’ll grab 5% of global market share by 2027. That is, at least, what TrendForce is saying will happen. The company posted its forecast for the next 5 years.

Foldable smartphones are expected to grab 5% of the market by 2027

By the end of 2023, the shipments are expected to reach 18.3 million units. In other words, 1.6% of the market will be reserved for foldables. That will, however, grow to 70 million by 2027, which will be the equivalent of 5% of the market.

What about the years in between? Well, we do have info for 2024 too. In 2024, the shipments are expected to reach 25.2 million, which will represent a 38% growth. The market share for foldable should be around 2.2% next year.

Why are we seeing this increase? Well, consumers are more and more interested in foldables, and as the prices go down, more and more of them will make the leap. Costs for manufacturing will be reduced, which will affect prices, of course.

More and more foldable phones are coming to the market

We’re also seeing more and more foldable smartphones in the market, and the competition is good for both product quality and pricing. More and more Chinese OEMs are joining the global foldable smartphone market.

TrendForce says that Samsung is still a force to be reckoned with, globally. The company is expected to sell 12.5 million foldables this year, and take two-thirds of the market. That will be a decline from last year, when it held 82% of the market. That is to be expected due to increased competition.

Huawei is projected to take 14% of the market, OPPO 5%, and Xiaomi 4% of the foldable smartphone market. All in all, considerable growth for the foldable smartphone market is expected in the coming years, which is not surprising.
