Why you should buy the Apple Watch Series 8
The Apple Watch Series 8 is the latest watch from Apple, besides the Ultra. So it has all of the latest features and such, and will continue to updated for years and years. Apple just stopped updating the Series 3 last year. So you can expect at least another 5 years here.
Like previous Apple Watches, the Series 8 does come in two sizes, the 41mm and 45mm. The 41mm is my favorite size, because it doesn’t look like a computer on your wrist. But depending on your wrist size, you may want something bigger like the 45mm, but it’s good that Apple offers a choice. Unlike Google. Which sounds pretty crazy when I read this back.
Of course, with the Apple Watch you can also track your fitness, and yes you’ll want to close those rings. You can compete with your friends 1-on-1, surprisingly, Apple still hasn’t given us group fitness challenges. It can track just about any kind of workout for you.
Though, the Apple Watch isn’t all about fitness. It also has a ton of great apps that you can use on your wrist. I really like using the myChevrolet app, as it allows me to remote start my car from my wrist. And also as an EV driver, I really like the ability to use apps like Chargepoint, ElectrifyAmerica and Plugshare to find a charger nearby and also check on my Bolt EV while it’s charging.
Of course, we can’t forget about Apple Pay, the ability to unlock your Mac with your watch and Siri. Among many other features. The Apple Watch really does have it all, including fall detection.
