The handset will feature a 50MP primary rear camera with OIS (optical image stabilization). It will be paired with an 8MP ultrawide lens and a 12MP telephoto zoom camera with 3x optical zoom support. For selfies and video calls, you get a 10MP camera on the front. Both front and rear cameras should support 4K video recording.
The Galaxy S23 FE will be fueled by a 4,500mAh battery with 25W wired charging support. It will also boast wireless charging (likely 15W). Other highlights include stereo speakers, an official IP rating for dust and water resistance (likely IP68), an under-display fingerprint scanner, and Samsung DeX support. At this point, we don’t know too much about this functionality. The news comes from two sources, AssembleDebug and 9To5Google. The latter were able to post a video of the function in action. However, at this point, it’s still in testing.
Judging from the place-saver text, it looks like this function is mostly about leaving feedback on web pages. When you go to create a Note, you’ll see the text “What did you think of this link? Keep it friendly and helpful”. So, you’ll be able to post your thoughts on the page.
While you’d be able to do this in text form, making it a Story-like post is a lot more engaging. You’re able to add different styles of text, animated stickers, backgrounds, and images. So, it’s indistinguishable from the sort of Story you’d see on Snapchat or Instagram. You’re also able to “like” another person’s Note.
When you make a post, your profile picture and name will be visible to other people. This could mean that you’ll need to be signed in to Google to leave a Note. Your Google account could act as your profile.

It’s certainly not the most expensive monitor Samsung has ever released. In more recent times, that honor still belongs to the Samsung Odyssey Ark. But the Odyssey Neo G9 57 won’t exactly be inexpensive either. It’ll officially launch with a price tag of $2,499.99.
And that’s still quite a pretty penny to drop on a gaming display. Though, you might find the money is worth what you get in return. Aside from the Dual UHD resolution in a 57-inch ultrawide panel, it supports a 240Hz refresh rate. It also has connectivity support for DisplayPort 2.1 and HDMI 2.1. Which means you’ll get the most out of your gaming rigs and consoles that are hooked up to it.
As for the launch date, Samsung is a little murkier on this. The display will be available for purchase in October but Samsung doesn’t mention a specific date. It’ll also launch alongside the 2023 model of the Odyssey Ark. In terms of other features, that money isn’t just buying you the Samsung brand name.

The cybersecurity Jeremiah Fowler has recently uncovered a major data breach affecting a prominent Brazilian escort service and application known as the Fatal Model.
Fowler, who brought the breach to the attention of cybersecurity resource WebsitePlanet, discovered two non-password protected databases containing a staggering total of over 18 million records. These records, belonging to the Fatal Model, included personal details of both clients and escorts, such as email addresses, account information, and device data.
Unsurprisingly, Fowler also identified that access keys and storage information of Fatal Model’s Amazon Web Services (AWS) storage account were exposed in the breach.
The breach highlights the cascading impact of a single data exposure, as vulnerabilities were unveiled within different sectors of the company’s network. While the logging database was promptly secured upon discovery, the AWS database remained accessible until Fowler issued a responsible disclosure notice. Fatal Model’s team exhibited a swift response in securing the exposed data.
The scale of the Data Leak
The exposed data encompassed a vast array of information from the logging database containing around 14.7 million records, totalling a size of approximately 19.17 GB, to the AWS cloud storage which held over 3.5 million files, collectively amounting to 700 GB.
Within the “2022” folder of the AWS account, there were approximately 35,400 escort accounts accompanied by images and videos. A subsequent “2023” folder contained an estimated 33,900 escort accounts, each complete with verification media.
Additionally, the breach revealed application files, development materials, admin access tokens, user device data, email addresses, names, and user ID numbers.

According to Fowler’s report, the Fatal Model employs advanced technology to authenticate the identities of escorts and clients, indicating that the leaked data pertains to actual individuals. The exposed verification procedures employed biometric software to validate users through facial recognition technology.

Samsung‘s next-gen flagship smartphones may see a notable design shift. There are already rumors that the Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S24+ will sport flat frames, similar to iPhones. The rumor mill is now suggesting that the Galaxy S24 Ultra will switch from a curved display to a flat one. Perhaps Samsung plans to keep the design consistent across the lineup, with a flat edge for the Ultra model as well.
The latest rumor comes from noted industry insider Ice Universe. The tipster created a mock-up of the Galaxy S24 Ultra based on available data about its dimensions, screen size, and screen aspect ratio. The device is said to be 79mm wide with a 6.8-inch display and a 19.5:9 aspect ratio. In comparison, the Galaxy S23 Ultra is 78.1mm wide with a similar-sized curved display and an almost identical aspect ratio (19.3:9).
Their calculation shows that the phone will get a flat display. If true, Samsung won’t have a flagship smartphone with a curved display for the first time since 2014, when it launched the Galaxy Note Edge. Since then, the Korean behemoth has had at least one premium phone with a curved display every year. But with the Galaxy S24 Ultra seemingly switching to a flat screen, there may be none next year.
The Galaxy S24 Ultra could have surprisingly wide display bezels
A switch to a flat panel may come with another disappointing design change. The tipster’s mock-up of the Galaxy S24 Ultra shows that the phone will have 3.42mm thick bezels on the side of the display. The top bezel measures 3.0mm. If Samsung keeps symmetrical top and bottom bezels (3.0mm thick), the screen-to-body ratio of the Galaxy S24 Ultra will come in at around 88 percent.
As pointed out by the tipster, that’s the lowest for a Galaxy flagship since the Galaxy S10 in 2019. If Samsung makes the chin (bottom bezel) thicker, which is often the case with smartphones, things get much worse. Hopefully, it won’t. The Galaxy S24 Ultra already looks like the Galaxy A54 in this mock-up.
All this said, there are still several months before the launch of the Galaxy S24 series. The rumored display specs and dimensions of the Ultra model may not be accurate. Samsung could go for a bigger display, thus reducing the bezels. Or maybe the curved design won’t go away, after all. We will have to wait for more details to confirm it all. As things stand, we advise you to not take anything for granted.
Samsung has added a couple of new models to its Odyssey series gaming monitors. The company debuted the 57-inch Odyssey Neo G9 and the 55-inch 2023 Odyssey Ark at Gamescom 2023. The latest edition of the world’s largest video game event kicked off in Cologne, Germany earlier today and will run through Sunday, August 27.
The Odyssey Neo G9 (model number G95NC) features the world’s first Dual Ultra-High-Definition (DUHD) screen. The 57-inch monitor has a 7,680 x 2,160 pixels resolution, a 240Hz refresh rate, a 32:9 aspect ratio, 1,000 nits of peak brightness (420nits typical), a 1ms GTG (gray-to-gray) response time, and a 1000R curvature. According to Samsung, it is as wide as two 32-inch UHD monitors stacked side-by-side.
Equipped with the Quantum Mini LED technology, the Odyssey Neo G9 comes with the Vesa DisplayHDR 1000 certification. Samsung’s new gaming monitor also features a VESA-certified DisplayPort 2.1, three HDMI 2.1 ports, and a USB hub. Other features include AMD FreeSync Premium Pro, Picture-in-Picture and Picture-by-Picture modes, Auto Source Switch+, Core Lighting+, and CoreSync. All of this ensures an immersive and stutter-free gaming experience.
The 2023 Odyssey Ark (model number G97NC) also features a similarly curved (1000R) display with a 1ms GTG response time. But, it downgrades in several other areas. This monitor has a 4K resolution (3,840 x 2,160 pixels), a 165Hz refresh rate, a DisplayPort 1.4 connector, two HDMI 2.1 ports, and an HDMI 2.0 port. It supports 4K UHD streams, Samsung Multi View (up to four inputs on the screen), and Cockpit Mode.
The latest Samsung Odyssey gaming monitors will be available in October
Samsung may have been showcasing the 57-inch Odyssey Neo G9 and the 55-inch 2023 Odyssey Ark for some time now, but the new gaming monitors won’t be available to purchase right away. The company says both models will go on sale in October. The former will cost you $2,499.99 and will be available through Samsung.com and select retailers across the US. The Korean firm hasn’t revealed the price of the latter.

One of the renowned hospitals in Israel became the victim of a data breach, and patients were blackmailed with a financial motive.
According to an Israel Hayom report, Maayanei HaYeshua Medical Center in Bnei Brak was attacked, and the sensitive data of most prominent politicians and others was breached.
The attack happened at the beginning of August, and now the cybercriminals are threatening the patients with their private medical records.
Mayanei HaYeshua suspected that information leaked when it was targeted by the Ranger Locker group earlier this month.
The exact amount of money demanded by the hackers has not yet been confirmed. However, Sources tell Israel Hayom that the hackers demand tens of millions of shekels as a ransom.
Hundreds of thousands of digital information, including psychiatric evaluations and various examinations that may indicate private medical conditions among Haredi wheelers and dealers, were allegedly seized by the gang as a result of the breach.
Cyberattack on a Hospital
The cyber gang has issued an ultimatum to the hospital, threatening to release private medical records containing personal information if its demands are not granted.
The hospital sent the following statement to Israel Hayom: “Over the past week, the cyber experts from the Health Ministry, the National Cyber Directorate, and the hospital have been investigating the attack, and this includes an evaluation as to the scope of the breach and its implications.”
There have been no negotiations of any kind with the hackers, and as we said right after the attack happened, this incident is financially motivated.
After being approached by hackers, Health Minister Moshe Arbel released his personal health information to the public.
Instead of letting hackers extort him or expose the CT scan, he disclosed his private health information.
Actually, he had a CT scan and kidney screening before donating to a relative. However, that scan revealed a malignant kidney tumor, so Arbel had the organ removed immediately.

The Google News Following feed is getting a redesign
This is a change that’s to help you see your headlines faster. The current Following tab shows you what you’re following. You’ll see three carousels with the entities that you follow. The top one shows the topics you follow, the middle shows the sources, and the bottom one shows the locations.
It’s a simple and straightforward page, but Google wants to pack a little more functionality into this feed. After the redesign, the feed will show you three top news stories from some of the sources you follow. On the top of the interface, you’ll see a new carousel with some of the sources you just recently followed.
There’s a lot in the feed, but there’s one thing that’s missing: the sources that you follow. They won’t be readily visible when you open the feed. However, the carousel showing your recent sources will have a Library button. This will show you the sources that you follow.
The tablet version of the app will be similar, but there will be one slight change. Using the tablet version, you’ll see four stories rather than three. This change is rolling out now, so there’s a chance that you won’t see it for a little bit. This change was spotted in version 5.86, so be on the lookout for that app update.
